'His Story' was founded by Tim Hewson based on the observation  that every man has a story after he spent nearly a decade walking, talking and encouraging blokes to open-up and 'share their shit'.

Tim is a passionate mental health advocate, Manbassador and educator, driven by a mission to create mentally healthier humans.

In 2021, Tim founded Mongrels Men, an award-winning mental health charity that helps prevent mental health illnesses, disorders and suicide impacting Australian men. 

To help expand his impact on mental health, Tim also founded Betterment Consulting where he regularly shares his own mental health story, delivers keynotes and runs mental health education and training workshops for companies and communities. 

Tim is committed to breaking down the negative stigma surrounding men’s mental health by giving it a face and a voice. 

His work encourages men to build a ‘brave space’ - a place to connect, feel supported and have more meaningful conversations. 

Tim has received several awards for his work and also been recognised in NSW Parliament for his contribution to mental health.
